Job Description

Closer&Closer is looking for a Marketing Manager to support our Sales & Marketing efforts. As our Marketing Manager, you are responsible for translating our artists' goals into actionable sales and marketing activity that helps them attract inquiries from the top companies on the planet. You work hand in hand with the Agents to seek and nurture opportunities to get our artists work in front of the right clients. You lead and improve our sales and marketing efforts by utilizing your exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Your excellent relationship-building skills help you cultivate trust with our artists, team members, clients, and the entire C&C network.

You are responsible for managing company social channels, website, compiling data, and coordinating C&C-wide sales and marketing campaigns. You know how to analyze data to determine what works and what doesn’t, and you use your judgment to determine the right course of action for both Closer&Closer and the individual artists' careers.

Summary of Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing
  • Managing C&C social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Behance, Pinterest, TikTok, blog) and using them to promote the artists' work
  • Exploring new social media channels for further community engagement
  • Building and distributing email newsletters
  • Creating and editing social media content
  • Executing sales and marketing activities to nurture new and existing client relationships
  • Setting up 5x5 presentations with clients and artists to strengthen relationships and inspire future work together
  • Creating and executing marketing campaigns for Agent + Producer to share with current and future clients
  • Submitting artists' work to blogs and publications on their behalf to expand their reach
  • Scheduling and coordinating artist social media takeovers
  • Updating and maintaining the website

Artist Marketing Coaching
  • Participating in artist coaching sessions alongside Agent + Producer to help artists grow their following and attract more inquiries from desirable clients
  • Researching, identifying, and sharing marketing opportunities for our artists to take advantage of
  • Sharing weekly self promotion tips with artists
  • Collecting and sharing artist success stories to encourage artist engagement and career growth

Administration & Project Management
  • Manage project briefs, timelines, and more on all marketing campaigns
  • Take notes on Artist One-On-One calls
  • Schedule Artist One-On-One calls on behalf of Agent
  • Send out invitation to artists to schedule a One-On-Ones with their Agent
  • Scheduling meetings with clients
  • Setting up client meeting agendas and distributing them prior to calls
  • Additional administrative tasks as needed

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years experience leading marketing and/or content teams preferred
  • 3-5 years experience with social media marketing or other communications role preferred
  • Advanced social media platform skills (Instagram, Behance, Pinterest, Tik Tok, etc.)
  • Advanced (or greater) community management skills
  • Advanced (or greater) experience with social media analytics reporting
  • Advanced (or greater) project management skills
  • Advanced (or greater) written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced (or greater) copywriting skills
  • Intermediate (or greater) design skills
  • Consideration given for: i) past work with artists; ii) familiarity with creative projects like commercial illustrations, design and animation; iii) CRM experience
  • High School Diploma required - College degree preferred

Technical Skills: 
  • Strong knowledge and experience work with Mailchimp (or comparable), Later (or comparable), etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with G Suite software
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with Asana or similar project management tool
  • Intermediate (or greater) knowledge and experience work with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva
  • The ability to create decks as needed
  • Experience with online forms (Typeform or Squarespace)

Working Setup

Please note this is a remote position
The team member must have a Home Office, Apple devices (Macbook, iPad Pro, iPhone). All software needed to perform the job will be provided by Closer&Closer.


8:30am to 5:30pm or something similar in your respected time zone, Monday through Friday. We ask you to be available during these hours but we do not mandate working hours.
